About

I have created this website because I want pet owners to be aware of my experience with the new East Village Animal Hospital in London, ON. It was an experience no pet owner should go through.

The East Village Animal Hospital is a clinic geared to individuals on low incomes. When I first heard about this clinic opening up in my city, I was so relieved because I have 2 cats, and the clinic I normally take them to is quite expensive. They're a wonderful & trustful clinic, but just too much out of my price range. However, after my unfortunate experience at EVAH, I have decided I'd rather try & find a way to come up with the funds to take my cat somewhere safe & reliable than ever bring them back to EVAH.

I had left a negative review on EVAH's Facebook page about my experience, but, because you can't delete reviews that you don't like to make it look like you have all positive ones, they removed their reviews feature altogether! My review, plus reviews of many others are no longer visible. They have since blocked me from posting on their page as well.

I'm therefore trying to get the word out to as many places as possible about what happened since EVAH is trying to silence me.

    1. I'm nuts because they treated me & my pet like crap? I'm nuts because they clearly overcharged me when they're supposed to be geared to helping people on lower incomes? lol, okay then. Either you work for them & are "trolling" me, or you're someone who doesn't like animals, so you're "trolling" me. Regardless, you clearly need a life.

  2. The cat could have peed in the carrier on the trip, not much anyone can do there.

    1. Out of all things that happened, the 3 lines I typed about my cat coming home covered in pee is the part you felt the need to comment on? Really? Anyway, given the fact her fur was kind of crispy, she had to have been sitting in it for a while. If she peed on the ride home, her fur would have been wet/damp.

  3. You are such an ignorant and disgraceful client and I am SO glad EVAH has gotten rid of you (your poor pet though!)

SHAME ON YOU for giving them that attitude, when you know NOTHING about how busy they can get. I've been with the clinic for 3 and a half years and Dr Martha/Tracy have been NOTHING but the BEST vets. I am speaking as a pet owner who's been with multiple clinics in Ontario. Their prices are super fair for a vet clinic (try going to an emergency clinic or a clinic in Toronto and don't come crying back)

You should reflect on exactly why they mailed you that letter severing the relationship because I'm so glad they did.

These vets work harder than everyone else. I sometimes go in and see Dr Martha at the end of nearly 12 hour shifts. You. have. no. idea.
Good luck with your all "entitled" attitude in a world where not just your animal needs veterinary care.

    1. Haha, yeah, I'm a total disgrace for worrying about my pet when someone at EVAH couldn't even take 30 seconds to make a phone call & let me know they're running late dropping off my cat! And I actually DO have an idea of how busy vet clinics are, I'm not an idiot, but that's no excuse for them to just not bother doing part of their job, which is being courteous & letting a client know they're running late with their sick pet!

I don't know if you have any children or not, but either way, a pet is not much different than a child... so imagine if your child was with a babysitter while you're at work, and the babysitter is supposed to drop your kid back to your home at a specific time, but they don't show, so eventually you try calling the babysitter, only to get their voicemail. You'd obviously be freaking out & would soon resort to calling the police for assistance (with a pet, that's not an option). You have 0 fucking clue where your kid is for nearly an hour! How would that make you feel? When the babysitter finally shows, I don't think you'd exactly be like, "Oh, it's fine. See you Monday!"

You can't even compare emergency vet clinic prices to regular vet prices, so I'm not sure why you brought that up, but for the record, this same cat had been to an emergency clinic when she was like 3 years old, so I know they're bloody expensive. EVAH's prices are supposed to be geared towards those on low income, not have comparable prices to other clinics, and they certainly shouldn't be overcharging for things!

I pay quite a bit at my current vet, but they are always kind, courteous, professional, respectful, and have never failed at keeping me updated on things no matter how busy they are - it's 100% worth finding a way to pay them. I'm obviously not that horrible of a client like you think I am if they actually trust me enough to offer payments plans, which they do not offer to just anyone.

I think you should have taken the time to imagine yourself in my situation first before shaming me... but I guess it was much easier to get instantly offended because I spoke poorly of your friends at EVAH so you hid behind the Anonymous option & spewed out this nonsense in an attempt to make a complete stranger feel bad about a situation that happened well over 2 years ago.
